Thrifty Finds

For months and months I've been seeing hand written signs around town that say, "Vintage Sale". I've been curious, but never made it over to investigate. Today the signs also said, "1/2 Price Sale TODAY". Now THAT I couldn't resist. I drove on over to check it out and holy moly, it was heaven on earth. It's a barn full of antique and vintage items, furniture items, architectural items, farm items, dishes, knick knacks, linens...you get the idea. Their prices are fantastic to begin with, and EVERY item was 1/2 price today. I may need to go back. I tried to control myself, but COME ON! I spent $29.50 and got the following items:

I've been keeping my eyes open for a large enamel ware pitcher. Won't that look gorgeous with peonies in it next summer!? I've also been looking for an old scale. I don't know. I think they're cool and just a fun country item. I've also been looking for milk bottles. These tend to be a bit pricey. This one is little, but it has the name of a local dairy company and it will be a perfect little bud vase. (And it was only $4)

I just loved the vintage cake plate and carrier, especially the crystal knob.

Those candlesticks will be the perfect addition to my Christmas decor. Why not for $6 for the pair?

The most expensive item was the giant pitcher- $11. What?! The scale was also $6 and the cake plate was $2.50. Too fun!
